As individuals we are expected to abide by the hierarchy of social structure, and should any of us fall short of what is acceptable and what is not, we do so knowing that there is a consequence to our actions and our decisions. If we have wronged, we will be punished, whether we own up to it willingly or not. There is a universal understanding in what is right and what is wrong, it is simply a matter of choice.

In forms of authority, we were groomed with mixed messages about Law Enforcement but we tend to evade questioning even the most overt wrongs when it comes down to it. On one hand, we are told they are the good guys – they are here to help, we will be safe and they will protect us. We can rely on them, we can trust them, it’s their job to care. Than on the other hand we learn fear. Even the simplest of things, such as a squad car following behind us is terrifying.  If we need to call for their help, we will be judged by them, by our neighbors – in some cases our family and friends. Nothing good comes from calling the police – nothing.

The theory that they are here to protect us, so far in my experience is a myth. Still we hold certain ideals of law enforcement. We expect that they are going to be good at their positions, that they can deal with a variety of people and situations, that they will try to save a life before take a life, and hold firm to every heartfelt word of their prescribed oaths….maybe a few really do, but not in my experience.

We generally like to think of police as “better” people, since they hold this privilege and power., not given to “just anyone” after all, they are trained to be good officers. Time and experience continue to show us, that when one of them makes even the most fatal mistake – we give them a little time off, make sure they don’t fall behind on their bills, and until it fades from the attention of the public they can’t go back on duty.

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said “an injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere.” Never will there be a truer statement. Every minute that passes us by someone is wounded, and re-wounded by circumstance. For anyone to believe or defend that we don’t have a very grave problem that runs up and down the branches of a system designed to serve our best interest, would be an argument of idealism.

It is always in the light of tragedy that we temporarily turn our attention to an issue, a happening, a wrong and start questioning it, even if we are silent about it. More often than not, we have no idea what is really happening anywhere – silence is still golden in certain circles – so is it not than our civic duty to call into question police officers and  police powers – along with the integrity or the lack thereof  when the situation calls for it?

In the decade since law enforcement agencies introduced the original “stun gun” as a primary weapon of choice for law enforcement – its evolution has been incomparable to any other police tool. Yet, like everything else in this world (with the inclusion of all scientific considerations) the true test of effectiveness only comes via time and experience. Experience required modifications, and so came about a more intense weapon, a widely used and highly favored “alternative to using deadly force” – the taser.

Despite certain similarities, the taser differs in deliverance and magnitude. Capable of being fired from a range of distances up to 20 feet, the 2 prongs attach to the body or clothing and transmit 50,000 volts of electricity to the body’s central nervous system, impairing brain functions instantly, incapacitating control over body just long enough for law enforcement to gain control over the person, or so is the principle.

The immediacy of the shock is known to cause heartbeats to elevate from a range of 72 bmp’s to a sudden 220 bmp’s, in short disbursements. Additional to the physiological and metabolic responses, the body itself sustains physical injuries, often multiple. To date, no studies have been conducted to evaluate any long-term effects this may have on the brain or physical health, and all evaluations so far, were bought and paid for by Taser International, Inc.  themselves, so you decide if you would be interested in their findings. I’m not.

However, it is not the weapon itself that is an issue; it’s in whose hands it is in that we should be concerned. It is in loose policies and protocols, it is in police powers and personal discretions, it is in burned out officers, or those who vibe power trip through every fiber of their being. We have a problem with abusive, inept police officers – we simply do.

An article in a Georgia newspaper first caught my eye. On the night of May 23, 2010, 18 year old Clifford Grevemberg was sitting outside of a Tybee Island bar, while his brother ran in to order food to go. Because he was underage he wasn’t allowed in, so he sat on the curb and waited. His brother had only been gone a few minutes inside. In that time, 4 Tybee Island Police officers approached him twice to ask for his identification. As he stood, he was shoved to the ground and was tasered twice.

Arrested and taken into custody although no initial reason given, later reports stated the boy was arrested and charged with drunk and disorderly.  What the officers would later learn was that Clifford is autistic, he also has a serious heart condition that has and continues to require constant monitoring, Clifford was not drunk that night or any other, he can’t drink. So, was it all in fun?

May 2010, a 94 pound, 10 year old boy was tasered by a police officer multiple times outside of the Tender Teddies daycare. He had been throwing a fit and was entangled in a physical confrontation with 2 female daycare staff. Present were the officer’s Captain and the 2 females. The officer was penalized for this in typical fashion when it was realized he failed to include the incident in his report.

In Miami Dade, 2 police officers responded to a 911 call from the Kelsey Pharr Elementary School regarding a suicidal 6 year old boy. 6! The child had cut his leg with a piece of glass he held and was threatening to do further harm to himself. There were 5 highly regaurded professional adults in that room, and the action they took was to taser the kindergartner. What is wrong with this picture?

In November of 2009, Ozark, Arkansas, Police Officer Dustin Bradshaw responded to a 911 call from an upset mother who couldn’t get her 11 year old daughter to take a shower. ( I know! Right?) Officer Bradshaw arrived to find the child throwing a tantrum on the floor and a screaming mother, who at one point told the officer to just “tase her ass”. Officer Bradshaw managed to pick up the girl and carry her to the couch, however when he put her down she let out a kick – that he took in the groin. That resulted in the child being tasered and brought to a juvenile center. I see two adults that need some serious questioning in this case.

I understand that what law enforcement officers represent and put on the line for any one of us at any given time, and that is not to be undermined. There is a debt we cannot repay to those who wake up each day, kiss their loved ones goodbye – possibly for the last time and see the worst there is to see running the risk of their own lives and not all police officers lack integrity or compassion, but could I ever trust or have faith in someone who can’t even negotiate with elementary school children – without such invasive violence?

I have no idea how many officers were present, but I am assuming more then one. I have no idea what actually happened, but I guarantee there will be a lot of C.Y.A’ing. I cant imagine with all the skill and training officers go through, how they could not, even as rough as they like to, want to, or need to get could not over power a 15 year old kid. But, I can believe that without a second thought, despite all of that officers resources, tazing the kid was the first thing that went through his mind. Grant that we have some pretty tough kids these days, but I also believe we have some pretty regardless cops who resort to aggression and have no qualms about abuse of power. I’ve seen for myself how police are teaching our kids to despise and disrespect them just in the way they talk to them. So do I have a doubt this kid would not be dead if police could more effectively execute their powers.

From there I drifted again in thought….

To a vivid and beautiful little girl, named Megan Meier, from Missouri. At 13, she by every way of manner was a typical teenager, and a harmless one at that.

 Betrayal and lost friendships are experiences we have in life, we live them and then let them go, but the proportion of bullying, psychological harm, fear, hurt and shame that a friend who she had simply split from, and the friends mother set a course of revenge against just shows how a perverse mind, breeds similar commonalities in their “familial village”.

The madness and pervasiveness of all those involved in the lies that tore a child apart until see saw no worth in herself, until she believed the embedding words of self-destruction, that upon prompting- by encouragement, this bright young child took her own life, much to young to understand that these people were sick. Although the consequences were handed down, they do not even closely equate to the loss of this precious and very loved girl.

Maybe somewhere there is a serious dysfunction in social functioning and it’s making it’s way in and out, live or virtual

This past February, an aspiring 30-year old model, Paul Zolezzi ended his life, publicly, and wrote his goodbye letter on Facebook, just before hanging himself in the park. Was it the self-medicating that got him, the mental illness that finally overtook him, or the demons that follow talent? I don’t know, he didn’t reach out, he just said his peace for the whole world to see and walked out the door and into the park and it was done. Sadly, his father had committed suicide in a public way, when he was in his forties. Paul likely had his fathers mental illness with an abetting heroin addiction, there is tragedy in life extinguished.

A few months ago, I came upon, by MySpace, a cry out. An intent, and inquiry as to why this man that I have never met, should want to live, he was contemplating a way out of his personal hell. As someone who witnessed a suicide at age 13, buried one uncle, and 7 friends, and seen buried 3 of my own teenage children’s friends by suicide – I would naturally respond with an absolute, “NO!” and key out some reasons. Noting that this very well drafted letter had been long thought through and even was written with an almost beautiful sense of artistic eclecticness. Reluctance in prose intermingling, I wondered, was his pain temporary or long sustained.

I read into some of the responses, and there was one guy that unnerved me with his ignorance. “Just quit talking about it and get it over with then.”- Comments to that posterity- I wonder, how does one, think like that? Be so conscious-less? Are we seriously these kind of people? Have we lost our senses? Would there be any remorse at all, should he have chosen to end his life. (Which by the way he did not.) What in this world could possibly make someone actually tell another to take their life? It unnerves me, that in tumultuous paths we walk amongst each other.

Then begot the MySpace murders…. (These vicious acts of destruction, are not solely linked to MySpace, they find their way in through all kinds of venues there is just an unfortunate sequence on MySpace that I am sure is working very diligently on it’s end)

The story begins with an emotionally disturbed young man by the name of Ulysses Handy the III. There are a cast of people, making the case pretty hard to follow at some of the most pivotal considerations when examining this case and at what point in time, was this kid failed- because in all his 21 years free to roam he was a danger to society, and even spent some time in jail. There were suicidal and homicidal thoughts. There were diagnosis’, which must have been the generalized popular psychological concurrent for teen psychosocial disobedience that year, and I call out the flawed outcomes this historic Forensic Psychiatric Exam. There were medications.  There was violence. He sexually assaulted a younger girl that was revealed only because he gave her herpes. He was, as self-professed- a predator.

In 2005, Handy met another car enthusiast, 22-year-old Daniel Varo on MySpace via someone else so the story goes. They became friends, and Varo was known to have friends with money, drugs, and goods- when Handy first met Varo his intent was to jack his friend Darren Christian. As it turned out Handy changed his mind, and the three of them began hanging out quickly becoming inseparable friends. There were disturbing elements to the friendships. The bantering between the boys on their MySpace pages seemed more ridiculous then it did invoking.

In February 2006, Christian got upset with Handy over a coat, drugs, money and told Handy to get out and don’t come back without it. On February 7,2006, suspected of 2 shootings already, the new molestation charges came later, Handy wild in rage, went to Christians with an intent. That night, Varo was on the computer, they had just eaten dinner, and Christian was relaxing with his 21-year-old girlfriend, Lindy Cochran playing video games when Handy knocked. Lindy got up answered the door, they hugged, and she invited him for leftovers. He then walked over to Christian, kissed and shot him in the head. He executed all three of these lives, and never showed any remorse at all.

At the trial, Handy stood proud to say he had no regrets. Pleading guilty to all three counts of aggravated murder, to serve consequently, Handy got life without parole. He smiled at Varo’s family. As victims tried to open pathways to healing, Hardy told them all to get over it. Some of his friends even tried to intimidate the victims after the trial. Do we want to know these kind of people? Those that laugh in the face of pain?

There is murder, suicide, rape, abuse, assault rampant amongst our youth- so where do we begin, without the help of law enforcement? With humane-less predators, creeping towards our heels.

At the present time the Putnam County Police, FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement are…well, at work. Meanwhile, a 5 year old little girl, who was taken by a man dressed in black from her bed while asleep, as told by her 4 year old brother continues to be missing.

Living with her father, Ronald Cummings Jr., and his 17 year old girlfriend (which I find odd) Misty Croslin, Haliegh simply vanished from the trailer home where she shared sleeping space with her younger brother, Junior. There is a question about Misty being home at the time the girl was taken, and despite taking and passing a lie detector test, something here isnt adding up.

I understand that Junior would watch his sister be taken and remain silent. But, he was not the intended target. This is no stranger abduction. But I cannot understand why at some point he didnt go tell and it was not until long after she was gone that “Misty” realized it. Am I wrong in thinking that trailer homes are generally small…that if an adult was home, someone would have to be breaking in? And how about knowing in which room to go?

Now at the time of Haleigh’s disappearance, Misty’s cousin, a PEDOPHILE as has been consistently reported in multiple press updates was visiting at the time Haleigh disapeared. Joe.

Now, if I know my cousin would molest a child, they sure arent welcome to come visit my house. While neither Richard or Misty, have done anything to Haleigh- I’d say they should be at the very least be staring down the barrel of child endangerment charges.

Yes, I understand that they are secondary victims- but, yes they knowingly put their child in harms way. So where is Joe? He’s obviously back in Tennessee, where a tip came in from Knoxville just the other day about a man with a girl in a SUV, that looked like Haleigh and appeared to be veiled by the man. Ok, so there is a vehicle police have- and thats that.

Although I would generally dig into the father and mother, I dont think I need too. No need to further evaluate-Haleighs biological parents have a tumoultous history, and like things do, it all came to an end and if domestic violence was an issue it sounds like everyone was better off. Until now.

Pedophiles, true pedophiles generally have no intent on their victims. They befriend, build trust, then violate as if it were just life. They see no wrong in what they are doing and beleive wholly that it is ok. If Joe, is a pedophile and has Haleigh we need to find her now. He’ll preserve her life to a physical capacity, however, who is this man? What is his criminal history? What about his psychological status- if backed into a corner- what becomes of Joe?

It’s her name we may never have known, if not for his deviance.

It’s the pictures of a bright, beautiful young woman whose eyes brimmed happiness and contentment, a joy almost enviable.

The face of a girl who had a promising life ahead of her.

A wonderful daughter, a good college student, an American sweetheart.

An unwitting victim who on November 22, 2003 never saw the devil lurking behind her until it was too late.

Her name is Dru Sjodin and she was only 22 years old.

Within days of her disappearance, Alfonso Rodriquez, Jr. became a prime suspect. Why? Because he had recently, very recently, been released from a Minnesota Correctional Facility after serving out a 23-year conviction for the abduction, knifing, and raping of another young woman. Technically his incarceration time had run out, legally this sexual predator was a free man. Could we have prevented it? Somewhere along the line, yes but we failed and unfortunately, Dru became his fourth known victim. The offenses he committed against her, before her taking her life, are unspeakable, and yet typical of this …criminal.

The evidence was there long before Dru was found and brought back to her family, and there was no reason to hesitate in getting this monster back off the streets. In June 2006 Alfonso Rodriquez, Jr. was sentenced to death by a jury of …well normal peers – (cant quite say his peers unless we load the jury box with sexual predators) for the horrific crimes and murder of that young woman who had every cause to believe she was safe and was looking forward to another day.

He pleas a pardon of the death sentence, doesn’t mind life behind bars, and why would he? That’s where he thrives. He’s mentally incorporated to the prison mentality. He doesn’t want to die, he’s happy behind prison walls, in a sense he has it made. He just wants others to die.

On February 12^th, 2008, Alfonso’s court appointed attorneys came to the United States 8^th Circuit Court of Appeals to argue against his death sentence. It seems the jury should never have heard that he has a propensity to violate helpless, unknowing women chosen randomly quite grotesquely and violently. No the pattern should not been permitted. That’s how these horrific things happen to begin with – our own stupidity. Ok, so Robert Hoy, his attorney points out to the paneled Judges that the Federal Death Penalty requires proof of aggravating factors. Now this means, reason to believe he would heinously kill. That would mean that there would have to be evidence that he, in previous crimes caused seriously bodily injury.

Ok, 3 previous victims he kidnaps. All 3 sexually violated so you know threats were imminent. I believe a weapon to my knowledge in all cases; however he physically used that weapon to maim one victim, leaving her to die. All victims’ bodies tossed around as if they were rag dolls and not someone, or someone’s child and abandoned in a creek bed, left to die. Excuse me, what about any of that, does not suit the definition of aggravating factors.

Add, that he does not feel that he was judged  fairly by a jury of his peers. Who does this monster think his peers are? Should we have gathered all Hispanic people to fill the jury box? I am pretty sure, that Hispanics look at him and judge him equally the same as the rest of us do. That he is an expense we can just do without, a disgusting, pathetic wimpy little man whose life is matterless. What he has done, and the choices he has made, makes Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. an irrelevant human being. Cry on my shoulder, Mrs. Rodriguez that your son was sexually abused as a child- it was your responsibility to help and protect him but you failed. But, good mom, sit at his slimy little side and make excuses for what he has done. I don’t care about the pesticides since apparently mom and everyone knew they affected him as a young child and well ignored it. It wasn’t an issue until he actually finally took someone’s life. Our system failed just as bad, it’s an ugly blemish- his commitment should have been wrapped up and he should have never walked the city streets again.

He was a victim of racism- well, a lot of people experience that, in even worse proportion and they don’t kill, especially not for sport! It is – dog ate my homework excusable, ridiculous. So he suffered poverty, so lets give him a break…hmmm, well a whole lot of poor people surviving and people have survived it before- keep digging though maybe you can find an excuse that hasn’t been tried. …this pathetic little creature of a human being wants not only empathy, but life.

Whether you believe in the death penalty or not, I believe that certain cases warrant it. Only certain crimes, meeting very specific criteria should the death penalty be even a consideration. All evidence must prove guilt, unless the offender requests execution – then we have to force him to die slowly behind those walls. In this case, the image of his creepy little face screams execute. Push to the top of the list- give this not another moment. There is true sadness when a person loses their sense of humanity and evil becomes primal. Alfonso Rodriguez, jr.  – when will you stop victimizing Dru’s family and loved one’s? When will you stop bringing the spotlight back on you? When will you quit wasting our state’s much needed money, to preserve yourself? Is there no conscience to you at all?

Innocence Deprived

As he spoke, he linked together partisan politicians; he caught the eyes and ears of citizens that have never invoked their right to vote. Yet, there millions flocked to polls, to say- yes! Change is coming.

Shortly after the inauguration, the then President elect began a webpage inviting all American citizens to tell their stories, share their visions for a brighter, better America. He wanted input. It was something I wrote on and received multiple replies from- from all sides of the political arena. Both positive and negative I read each one, and cared for each one’s thoughts.

Unfortunately, when trying to link this to Change.Gov, I discovered the site was no longer valid and searched a little deeper, because I want people’s voice’s to be heard. We the people, are in the center of the crisis. We can bail out wall street, dish out money to our automakers, as we have before, and we can sit and listen as both Republicans and Democrats argue it all out, but if we want change to happen, we have to participate.

Since the link no longer works I have discovered that  the peoples ability to share this vision and have their voices heard have not been completely deprived of them. Vice President Joe Biden is taking on that project. To get there you have to visit http://www.whitehouse.gov, go the blog, find Vice President Biden’s page and there you have an opportunity to have your say. I encourage everyone to do this, but I do not encourage words of hate or disdain. I know that there are tensions from racism, to politicism, to fears of socialism…there’s an endless list. But, it is our duty as American Citizens to respect the President and his Cabinet while they reside in office. It is only one faction of what it means to be patriotic.

I added this page to my blog because I believe in this nation and its ability to rise above all that challenges it. I believe in a union of people that want to see change regardless of who sits in the Oval office. I believe our Country is in ever-present danger as foreign and domestic terrorists walk amongst us, as we face financial crisis, and as the world tumbles around us tearing us in all directions. Which end is up is the pervasive question.

The first question I have is what is your vision for America? ( While there are a multitude of things I want to discuss, this stimulus package, if you think we are going socialist, GUANTANAMO BAY, the 55,000+ prisoners that will be released from California Prisons, Iraq, Afghanistan…Bin Ladens latest message- I’m interested in what you want to see happen under President Obama’s Administration to begin with!)

She was a beautiful little girl and I can’t imagine what it would take to even strike fear in a child, let alone imagine what that little girl was thinking so trustingly in the hands of the one person you should trust most in the world. Sadly, this isnt the first time, nor the last that a mother will inhumanely harm her child.

I am sure that as far as Caylee Anthony goes I’ve cried more tears then her mother, who didnt bother to watch her child’s funeral today although she was offered that chance.

I am concerned about her parents though. It seems the denial is stronger then love. It’s one for the other unfortunately, and who is core victim here? That radiant little girl tumbling and giggling in video’s, or the theiving, lying young woman, that although you call your daughter, murdered your grandchild and then partied it up. The one who really doesnt want to discuss Caylee, but when Casey’s getting out.

I do beleive in the Jury of peers. I do beleive in innocent until proven guilty. But it’s evident. It’s locked up tight, sealed and it happened. I feel so much empathy for Caylee’s grandparents, especially her uncle, he isnt being fooled, he’s looking at the obvious- there are many victims here, but Casey isnt one of them. It’s time to put pride aside and hold that girl accountable.

What more evidence do they need? What more do we need?

…then just to say goodbye, Caylee, we’ll pray that Justice serves you well.

We hear of things, experiences and traumas of unimaginable proportion- all the time, every day. It’s hard not to get numb, fade away and tune out. There is just so much going on. But, we always know in the back of our mind that man or woman and sometimes child can be fatally dangerous. It’s everywhere and somewhere maybe even next door. Horrible things happens in all kinds of neighborhoods. We just hope and pray it does not touch our lives intimately.

Its inconceivable what some people can psychologically conjure up, emotionally prepare for, and then physically carry out against another person, let alone a child. It’s disturbing when we realize that the innocence of an abused child could have been saved and preserved- if only. You know, we have just too many if only’s. What are we going to do about that? How about exchange a greater lobby effort to protecting children instead of focusing on less pivotal issues?

But what went wrong here? I am breathless. Appalled. Disgusted. And  want to see some accountability!

If he could come up with the post for the $500,000 bond, 47-year old Daniel Rinehart, of Harrisonville, Missouri would get it. But, it seems the trailer he’d cowered in behind his frail mom’s house who just can’t believe all of this- isn’t worth anything. With a ridicule like stoicism, his every facial expression reverberates the words “This is ridiculous. Just get me out of here. This is bullshit! I didn’t do anything wrong. I won’t be found guilty, you’re wasting my time” in my head. I can hear it. Perverts say these things all the time, until they actually believe it. Daniel Rinehart, is definitely a dangerous man and I don’t doubt that every one of these thoughts have gone through his head more then once, let alone tipped his dirty lips.

On January 1^st, Daniel was charged with one count of statutory rape (for a serious of sexual violations against a child under his authority, his own daughter beginning when she was 13 until she was between 18 and 19.). He faces 2 counts of incest (although his victim bore 4 of his children/grandchildren), one count of child endangerment, and abandoning a corpse. 2 children’s corpses were located on the premise where the family once resided, in a cooler. By medical evaluation, one child appeared to have lived a duration but died from untreated pneumonia. Thus, explains the case of neglect. The third child that also died is buried somewhere in Oklahoma. Just simply matterless bones to this pervasive child molester. The surviving child, who is three, is now in the custody of the state.

It is just not even right. There is no sense. I am gasping for air. It’s unfathomable. There was family- adults, there was an opportunity- no, a responsibility to save this little girl’s life and everyone failed to respond because in situations like this- you look, you all look. But here only the children were the made the repeated, ignored victims.

On March 5^th, 2009 Daniel will stand for his preliminary hearing. So the charges will be read and choices will be made regarding his punishment. In a separate courtroom will be another responsible party, who is out free to roam at this very moment, and has already missed her first court appearance-  the  primary victims mother.( I am going to have to refer to the girl as the primary because there are multiple victims in this case).  47-year old- Linda Rinehart who will face a charge of child endangerment. “A” charge of child “endangerment”. Linda not only allowed her own child to be sexually violated repeatedly, but helped birth the inbred babies and of course would be privy to their undisclosed deaths. Great parenting skills, and wow! What a grandma! A wife only Daniel could love. She needs to be held accountable to her grave.

It took a very brave move on part of the abused girls sister, who upon turning 18, realizing that she would not become a ward of the state anymore- went and told the secrets she’s keep keeping that were internally breaking her so many years. I cant imagine the fear that Daniel impressed upon everyone in his life- the terrorism had to be constant.

I assume Daniel was pretty violent to Linda and there were some chemical dependency issues and a whole lot of other things transpiring within the frame of that house. Domestic abuse, is a very serious matter, but in no way should it be used as Linda’s defense. It can be understood of child witnesses but this mother wholly participated in the continuous sexual violence against her daughter, her child.

So Daniel’s mother is pretty old.

I have no pity for her, not an ounce.

When your grand-daughter gets pregnant 4 times before she is 18, and these babies vanish, why aren’t you asking questions? Like what’s going on here? Where or even who are these babies’ dads? Why isn’t she on birth control? Why no funerals?  You don’t ask because you  know. This kind of thing was probably okay in Daniels family all his life. The  primary victim’s cousins knew what was going on and who these babies father was but everyone was afraid to say anything because of Daniels threats. Well, if there are cousins that means there are aunts and uncles too. Where were these cowards? Was she kept in the home all the time and denied schooling?

Right now people need to step up and start answering questions and not the victims here. Those that le this happen need a lesson in accountability. I guess we wait until March 5^th to see how Justice is served and for whom.

Tonight, Caylee’s grandfather sits in a hospital room, a place I am sure that he never imagined he’d ever be-but a place in which the world understands. The months of agony, of the uncertainties, the lies, the misleading, the not knowing, and then the discoveries- the totality of it all would crack even the strongest of characters, how this family has survived thus far, I don’t know. It’s all so incomprehensible.

Her father feels responsible. The signs have been there all along- the sadness, the sorrow, the regrets- the “ what if’s” have emanated from his expressions, his voice, his apologies to the little girl he loves most in this world  and doesn’t want to believe that she has done what we know that she has. There had been on-going tensions between Casey and George in the weeks before his granddaughter disappeared. The bizarre behavior of his daughter that followed her leaving the house and “denying” Caylee’s grandparents access to them, or them to her- is volumistic.

Between July and August 2007, Casey was in custody and released 3 times. The 7 criminal charges she is facing now are just a few of the dozens of charges she could have pressed against her. While out on bail, Casey continued to thieve, landing her back in jail before a week could pass. The pathological nature of Casey Anthony does not solely cling to her ability to lie without fluctuation, without pause, without thought- it’s all natural behavior- to her.

It is probable that she will face criminal penalties for the thefts at a later date, but the consequences will not end there. The stories Casey Anthony told to police during the initial stages of the investigation were so well carried out it was almost as if she actually believed herself. I do have to commend the countless officers and agencies that actually brought this case together and peeled back the layers of Casey’s lies …without that she could go on hurting people in any of the ways that proves herself capable of. Where she is now is a good place for her to be, where she will be- will prevent future victims. Murder is just one of the more serious things she is capable of and capable of pretending she isn’t.

Of course, there is talk of filing for a change of venue- but thus far, no motions are in play. What has been asked from Casey’s defense is access to the private property for the next 2 years where she left little Caylee to- disintegrate and of course records pertaining to the volunteers who searched for little Caylee Anthony. So, not only do we know the defense wants to delay this, and that somehow the young woman sitting in protective custody can sleep at night so regardless.

I wonder if they would find a relative of Zenaida Gonzalez amongst those volunteers? Since she never really existed, who knows he could have fled to Mexico and is a person of interest? Sure there is no file identifying or linking such a person, not even by ethnicity but…maybe Universal studios has it hidden in the secret room Casey referred to as her “office”.

As for the real Zenaida Gonzalez, she has stood up and wants to sue Casey for defaming her name. Well  the woman does have a point here, however, there will be nothing  gained. No money. No fruition –just a piece of paper saying this prisoner for life- who may eventually earn a $1 a day owes her some money, and any received in bits and pieces probably wont even help Zenaida cover the monthly electric bill. It would be unfair, unjust and cruel to try to get money from Casey’s parents.

Also in Orlando, is another matricidal mother. Emmalee Fore.

Another tragic case, where a child has died after being brought to the attention of the State Department whose job it is: is to protect them but fails – abandons them back into the abusive, destructive arms of dangerous parents. The system is endlessly flawed. It is not simply a state problem it is a national crisis. All we do is sweep it under the rug and let it serve its cosmetic purposes rather then demand better of it. 15-month-old Blake Rupee did not have to die and more then one person is responsible for it. Firing two social workers doesn’t solve the problem here.

The case of Blake Rupee opened and closed in less then a year. The social workers wanted to give Emmalee the benefit of the doubt although her son has received a significant injury in her care. When his lifeless body was found, Emmalee might not have been home, although that’s still up in the air at this hour, but the child had broken bones all over his body- a collarbone, his arms, one in his thigh and 2 ribs. How old were those injuries? How long after the case was filed as closed did this little boy die? Within months.

That poor little girl, I can’t imagine what it must have been like being nurtured through your murder by your mother. The one person in the world you should trust, especially as a child. I bet she was happy with her mom all day and that it was a sudden action. I wonder if she ever recognized danger? The sticker on the duct tape is mighty symbolic. Kind of speaks for itself as to who might have placed it there.

I am not even going to waste my time speculating on this girl. She’s not well in any sense and needs to be looking at charges that extend beyond child abuse, manslaughter and hindering an investigation by lying. I mean seriously. This is what they are charging her with? It better get better then that, Caylee deserves Justice and her mother deserves life in prison with no possibility of parole. How do we  pardon and release people who murder?

Are these the same court systems we want to punish Al-Qaida terrorists in?  

I don’t know if my friends purposely chose not to mention this to me, or were waiting for me to mention it to them.

I dont want to beleive my eyes or my ears- I don’t want to hear what I am hearing.

I dont understand how he is being over looked. I dont understand how he is being dismissed…. grant it he’s now dead- but anyone whose watched enough t.v. knows this man is questionable.

So the Milwaukee barber ( yes, Milwaukee again) confessed to his therapist and urged her to tell the police that he committed two murders.

Both he explained away…

But this is where it gets delicate…and may go seriously wrong.

Vernon, in response to the abduction of Jacob Wetterling comes to St. Joseph, spends a week in a hotel to help search.

Now there may seem to be nothing unusual about that since Jacob was then and still is a concern to us.

Or was Vernon already here, in the area?

Claiming to be a psychic he thought he could help- odd. ( Although this wasnt the only missing child case he went to with the intent to help).

Is it unlikely for a killer to return to the scene of the crime? No.

Although strange, the mental condition of Vernon may have prompted his “need” to be around and help find Jacob… A need to relate to the victims?

In St. Joseph he talks openly and candidly about a crime that happened to him as a young boy. He reports to have been abducted by a group of men that beat, abused and sexually violated him and then proceeded to force him to murder another boy. He also watched a second teen be killed.

Now that may seem unusual to us but those kinds of experinces were rampant in that era of time. If you were to examine the profiles of some of the most notorious serial killers, especially those with sadistic compulsions towards children, you’ll find a lot of similiarites:

Broken homes, early deliquency, childhood sexual abuse, torture, physical and psychological abuse… often in the hands of parents. There is early on-set chemical issues, criminal tendencies, and a honed ability to manipulate.

Did he seek some absolution there in St. Joseph? Maybe he has regrets- what if, what if he had played out the psychic card better and brought closure? There is no way, if he did do something to Jacob considering the severity in which we all cared he would have led anyone to him. The price would have been too high- he couldnt have done it…he wanted something different- to matter.

Apparently it was when Jacob went missing Vernon was reminded of his own abuse and wanted to help… it’s what put him into therapy… guilt!

So at some point a warrant gets served, and guess what they find?

      Child porn /pictures of tortured children / tools of sadism/ pictures of missing children/ books on cannaslism /children’s things such as shoes, clothes- possibly keepsakes? mementos? Things ot hold on to?

Tell me- that doesnt fit familiar profiles?

As revolting as it may be to think about the Wesley Dodd’s, Otis Toole’s, John Gacy’s  of the world haven’t gone away. Those particular killers -yes but they still exist. They live among us and we wouldnt know none the wiser. I am sad, sorry, and wounded by the news that he has been ruled out and that his confessions are being scoffed at…

You’d be surprised at how many serial killers tried to stop themselves historically by turning themselves in to police. And were ignored. One of is linked to more then 180 murders- and then suddenly they get caught on a traffic ticket. 

Do I think Vernon was a serial killer? so far- but need more background information. 

His confessions may have been just a beginning…

What I really need to know about is what is up with Milwaukee and cannibals? Dont talk to boys there? 

For the record, the police nor Jacob’s family beleive that Vernon is responsible for Jacob’s kidnapping. There is nothing to lead them to beleive….

As for me- I want answers we wont ever get about who this man truly, madly and deeply was.
